High performance double glazing provides toughened glass externally and laminated low-E3 glass inside, the cavity is filled with Argon gas. Approximately 70-80% of solar heat is blocked, 99% UV protection is provided, and noise is reduced by 32 Decibels.
As with all VELUX skylights, the FCM 2246 features a low profile, lightweight and durable Aluminium cladding on the outside, and an uncluttered frame-less finish inside.

The VELUX FCM range are Fixed Curb Mount skylights designed for a flat roof; the roof pitch must be between 0-60 degrees off the horizontal. The flat roof VELUX Skylight requires a flashed timber hob or flashing with upstand for support. 15 different sizes are available.
The FCM 2246 is a medium size VELUX skylight, this size is also available as an opening skylight. and can be fitted with a VELUX Blind.
This skylight can be used in Kitchens, and can also be used in other large rooms.
