Whirly Bird Roof Ventilators are designed to provide continuous fresh air to roof spaces. In Australia, our National Construction Code recognises the benefits of improved roof ventilation by insuring all new homes are built to a minimum standard.

However, it is easy to retrofit whirlybirds to existing homes. These wind-driven turbines extract the air from the roof space, improving the flow of fresh air into the cavity, these energy efficient fans don't use electricity and run purely on wind power.

Whirlybird - Year Round Benefits:

• Summer time - removing the very hot air trapped directly above the ceiling will help lower the temperature inside the house.  However, the whirlybird is not a complete solution, that said, if you choose to run air conditioning, the running costs can be markedly reduced.
• Winter time - dampness and condensation create ideal conditions for mould and mildew to form. The benefit of a healthy airflow eliminates these risks and makes the home far safer and more liveable.
